About the Trainer

Bonnie DiCocco is a Masters level Animal Behaviorist and has been specializing in obedience training and behavior modification for over six years. Bonnie began her career training for individual clients and has extended her work to include consulting for many veterinary, rescue and non-profit organizations. She has authored numerous articles on the subject of animal behavior, which can be found on the 'Resources' page. Bonnie's unique approach includes a system that she has developed through years of research and personal experience coupled with academic knowledge and continuing education at the American College of Applied Science. Bonnie has a gift for connecting with animals as they are her life's passion. There is no such thing as a 'bad' animal.  With a little help, all companion animals can become the perfect pet they have the potential to be!  Companion animal training not only teaches the pet, but gives owners' and their families the knowledge and support they need to successfully complete a training program.   Bonnie is always available to answer questions and encourage you and your pet along the way!

All staff of Companion Animal Behavior Consulting are Pet First Aid and CPR trained.
A consultation is  necessary previous to beginning a training program or behavioral intervention.  Due to the unique nature of each animal, an individualized training plan is required.  A consultation helps the trainer assess your individual needs as well as those of your pet in order to create an individualized plan to accomplish your goals.  Consultations are always free of charge and at no obligation.

Bonnie has developed several programs, each designed to achieve specific results. Her approach is not one size fits all because the animal, their owners and their needs differ greatly. Some of Bonnie's programs include:

  • Beginner's (puppy) Obedience

  • Basic Obedience

  • Advanced Obedience

  • Online Seminars

  • Canine Good Citizen (AKC) Training and Testing

  • Group Classes

  • Board and Train

  • Private Problem Solving and Behavioral Modification

All programs can be tailored to suit your needs and are determined after an initial consultation.

For those interested in becoming an Animal Behaviorist themselves, an Apprenticeship program is also offered.  Please contact us for more information.
